Calendar of Events

Hello Again Summer 2011 Pathways Participants:

I hope you are looking forward to this summer as much as we are. We have been working on putting together a calendar of events that covers the wide range of areas we hope to explore with this summer's program. You can access this calendar at  https://www.google.com/calendar/render?gsessionid=OK. Please note that we are still working on this list of events and experiences, and there is still much to add, so keep checking to become familiar with what we are planning.

I thought you might like a preview of what we have scheduled.

You will see four main academic courses: Language and Culture in the Classroom, Teaching in America, Educational Leadership, and an Assistive Technology Workshop. Each of these courses will be a discussion based exploration of the topic and will meet on multiple occasions throughout your time here. Stay tuned for a syllabus for each of these academic courses.

As you will see on the calendar, we have scheduled a variety of cultural events, leisure activities, and service learning experiences. I think that the best way for you to familiarize yourself with what to expect is to take a look at the websites of each. Below is a list of websites that correspond to our event calendar. This will give you a good idea of what we have planned for the summer.

  1. Hello,
Of course, I am looking forward to the program. Is there any event in the calender at the moment? I cannot see any note in the calender. 0r do I have to register?

  2. Hello Nermin.

If you scroll to our specific dates, which are July 16th to August 20th, 2011, and you don't see any specific events, it is probably true that you need to register to be able to view this particular calendar. Try that, and if you still have trouble, I can help you figure it out.

Please let me know how it goes.

  3. I have tried that out... I think I have to add it to my calenders. On the left side there is "add a friend`s calender". The one which I can see is my own empty calender.

  4. In the "add a friend's calendar" you can find it by searching EWU Pathways. Also, here is the full link again:

I hope one of those options helps. If not, let me know, and I'll see what I can figure out.

  5. Unfortunately: "Failed to add imported calendar at https://www.google.com/calendar/render?gsessionid=OK"

Could you try to share the calendar? In the settings you can enter e-mail addresses to share the calendar.

  6. Sorry for the confusion Nermin. I sent a specific invite for you to share the calendar. Hopefully that gets us there.

  9. Hello Sean,

Please could you invite me as well so that I can see the calendar? I have the same problem as Nermin.
    Thank you in advance.

    Floriane.

  11. Unfortunately, I still have a problem. The following message appears: "The one time calendar access transfer key is invalid"

  12. Hi Floriane. I'm sorry for the difficulty. I've resent you the invite to share the calendar through google calendar. Please try it again, and let me know if it works. Again, I apologize for the struggle.

  13. I'm sorry, too, because it still refuses to work. I tried with another email address (melle-flichou @ hotmail.fr)but it was all the same. I am trying to find a solution by having a look at the settings, I will let you know if it finally works. Thank you, and sorry again.

    Floriane.

  14. Hi Floriane. No apologies necessary. Sometimes technology just doesn't do what we want it to, and this seems like one of those moments. I sent an invite to the alternate email address that you included. You can try linking in that way. I'll do some research to see how I might be able to get this to work. Stay tuned.

  16. Excellent! I'm so glad you were able to gain access. Maybe we've worked it out so it won't be too much trouble for the others. Thanks for sticking with it.
